Founded in 1984 by Toshikiyo Hirata, Kapital initially made a name for themselves by creating high quality denim. In recent years Toshikiyo's son Kiro has taken over as head designer and diversified the range, producing clothing and accessories with a distinct focus on classic Japanese construction techniques and heritage silhouettes.
