In early August, we hosted G.H. Bass to celebrate 150 years of the brand and 90 years of the Weejun, one of the few shoes that genuinely deserves the word iconic. The evening was a proper showcase: we'd pulled together everything from the foundational Weejun to the more experimental pieces in their current range, which made the point that the loafer isn't a relic, it's endlessly versatile, endlessly reinterpretable.
The G.H. Bass team walked guests through the archive and the thinking behind each iteration, tracing how a shoe that started as an American staple has spent a century getting better without really changing at all.
Lewes-based brewery Abyss provided the drinks, and a huge thanks to everyone who came down and made it special.
