Peggs & son x Paraboot: A Collaborative Take on the Thiers
At Peggs & son, we’ve always believed in long-lasting things - the kind of products that feel just as relevant five years from now as they do today. We’re not in the business of chasing trends or doing something “just because.” We do it when it feels right. And this feels very right.
This July, we’re proud to introduce our first collaboration with Paraboot, the revered French footwear maker. Together, we’ve reimagined the Thiers, one of Paraboot’s lesser-known but best-loved silhouettes, in a new, exclusive colourway - a rich chocolate suede upper, finished with a light beige contrast stitch and that signature Jannu sole unit. Only 120 pairs are being made, and they’ll be available exclusively at Peggs & son, online and in-store, from Thursday 31st July 2025.

A Little About the Thiers
For the uninitiated, the Thiers is something of a hidden gem in Paraboot’s lineup. Somewhere between a derby and a moccasin, it’s a shoe that plays with proportions - a low profile, a chunky outsole, and a clean toe shape that makes it equally at home with tailored trousers or worn-in denim.
It’s this versatility - along with the signature Paraboot build quality that’s made the Thiers one of our favourite styles to wear and to recommend. So when the opportunity came to work on a collaborative version, we knew exactly where to start.

Our Take: Chocolate & Contrast
For our edition, we wanted something that felt luxurious but grounded - soft but wearable. We landed on a chocolate brown suede for the upper: rich, warm, and deeply textural, with just the right amount of give and movement. It’s offset by a light beige stitch, added for a subtle contrast and an extra point of visual interest without tipping into flashiness.
The end result is something that feels understated but elevated - familiar, but entirely new.

Collaboration in Craft
Paraboot’s reputation is well earned. Founded over 100 years ago in the French Alps, they remain one of the few footwear makers in the world still producing their own outsoles. Each pair is hand-crafted in Saint Jean de Moirans, using traditional Norwegian welt construction and a slow, deliberate approach to shoemaking.
This is footwear that isn’t rushed. It’s designed to last - not just in terms of durability, but in terms of style, too. That philosophy is something we hold close at Peggs & son. Which is why this collaboration felt like such a natural fit.
