Atlantic Coastal Supplies for Peggs & son.

We’ve teamed up with St. Ives-based Atlantic Coastal Supplies on an exclusive version of their much loved Mackerel Cap.

Rooted in coastal life and shaped by the Atlantic, ACS have built a reputation for honest, hard-wearing pieces that feel at home by the sea. The Mackerel Cap has become something of a staple in their line - practical, understated and designed to be worn properly. For this collaboration, we’ve taken that foundation and pushed it a little further.

Our version comes in a heavyweight moss green canvas - noticeably sturdier than the standard cotton twill. It has structure from day one, but the intention is simple: wear it hard.

The fabric is designed to soften and pick up character over time. Sun, rain, salt air, being scrunched into coat pockets or left on the dashboard - this is a cap that should age beautifully. The more it’s worn, the better it’ll look.

Contrast off-white stitching runs throughout, giving definition to the panels and brim, while the off-white A.C.S. embroidery sits cleanly on the crown above the signature mackerel graphic and West Penwith detail. It’s subtle but sharp - classic ACS, just elevated.

The biggest departure from their core line comes at the back.

For the first time and unique for us, ACS have used a brown leather strap closure. It adds weight, texture and a slightly more refined finish - a small detail that shifts the cap from everyday staple into something that feels considered and exclusive. The leather will darken and soften with wear, developing its own patina alongside the canvas.

It’s a simple upgrade, but one that makes this version distinctly ours.

We’ve been living with this cap properly over the past few weeks, putting it through its paces in sun and sea air. It feels right at home in that environment - exactly as intended.
